Question about "green screen suit"(?)..
 

Hi everyone,
first of all a huge thanks to all posters for the great info provided in this forum.Your help is trully appreciated..
Anyway, i am trying to shoot a short with green screen for the first time and i need to find a green screen suit (if that's what they are called) so i can chroma key some persons and delete them completely in post.The idea behind it is to help me perform some actions and movements for other actors without being visible..Do you think something like this

could work?I am mostly worried about the fact that its a shinny outfit.Should i use some chroma key paint?Any suggestions would be helpfull..

Shiny is bad. The highlights will blow out to pure white and will create a nightmare of moving spots that may not key out.

Thanks for your answer Marcus,i actually found the same suit in matte so i 'll probably go with that one.
Has anyone ever tried working with those suits in low budget productions?Is there anything i should worry about except the correct lighting (will be shot in studio probably) and the people in suits not appearing in front of the actors?

I've never used a 'green suit' but I have used a 'black light' suit with a linnear key. It worked pretty well. The backdrop being black velvet, and the objects being white. Keyed out the black just fine. (The puppeteers were in black velvet as well.)

It's the same principle used in 'black light' stage magic, where the performers wear black and the objects to be seen are in luminous paint, and the whole stage is illuminated with UV light. (Which ALSO works in video)

So try a test with your various materials against your screens. And make sure there is NONE of that color in the objects you want to be seen!

I hadn't thought about that alternative Richard,thanks, but it probably won't work in this certain shoot because i ll have to key out the background as well and i don't want that.Maybe if i add a different background in post but i am afraid it might look totally fake(since i don't have any previous experience in chroma keying)...But its definately great for puppeteering!
