My first xl1s project in the can (and on the web)
Hi. I've been hanging out (and sometimes chiming in) on this site over the past few months, and I realized I haven't introduced myself. I'm a Photographer/Designer/Large Format Printer from San Luis Obispo, on California's beautiful central coast. I bought a GL1 a few years back for a trip to India, and have been hooked on DV ever since.
I've posted a music video I shot for a friend a few weeks back. It was shot in my studio on my Xl1s, with a crew of 1 (me), and put together in final cut pro. If you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think. http://homepage.mac.com/barrygoyette/iMovieTheater1.html cheers Barry Goyette |
It is looking really nice, but I've got the feeling that some action
is missing, ie, it more or less repeating the same. No doubt this is due to budget reasons though. Also found the green/blue switch a tad distracting. Other than that it looked very good! |
Hi
tried to download took forever so I cancelled. Is the file big? Andrew |
the file is about 16mb...so if you're not on broadband it might not be worth your time...thanks for trying.

Liked the song to:) But i gotta quote Rob..."some action is missing, ie, it more or less repeating the same. No doubt this is due to budget reasons though". Anyway, keep up the great work clap on the shoulder for you! |
Barry,
Nice work! Everyone else has made valid suggestions...but really, I like it as is. Has there ever been a project that couldn't use more of this or that? Better I think to do it and put it in the can and move on to the next. Let us know when you've posted something else. John |
