Anyone in the Springfield, MO area?

I consider Tulsa (just like driving to LA) and other out laying areas to be close. Just wondering who and what is out there?

I've only lived here a month. Wanted to move back to the midwest to live on a farm and turn the barn into a studio.

We Live in Midwest

Hi there,

I was looking for a used XL1 or any XL1 for rental i couldn't find any. Finally I found a shop who sell XL2 asked him if they do rental. He said they did once but cameras were never returned. They stopped renting. So i'm looking forward to buying one its very expensive for me but still if i rent one its $300 per day and i have to ship it form CA or Chicago. What can i do? frustrating.

regards,
hari

Here's one "neighbor"

Harikrishnan,

There's a place here in Springfield, actually the headquarters is here. Trying to find the name they have a office in St. Louis.

I post the information as I can find it.

Here it is.

http://www.evsinc.com/

I can't remember the price for the XL2 rental but if you pick up Friday they'd give you a one day rental for the weekend.

The price was cheaper than LA. I was surprised about that. I think West Plains might be the nearest office to you.

Jim, have you heard that Springfield has a film group going. Just started. We have another meeting this Friday at 10:30 not sure if you can make it, plus the price of gas makes me think I never left California.

great

I was surprised to see that somebody is renting XL2. I called them and left a message.

Thank you very much.

Re: Springfield film group

Gary:

No, I didn't know that. If they have a website, let me know.

I was out of pocket last week. My daughter had a baby in Memphis last Monday, and I just got back yesterday.

From a film festival started here in Springfield, MO.

We've formed a group called the CINEmerge Entertainment Group.

Its to help with the festival and independent film or video producers.

We're going to have some industry people come and lecture in the near future.

We do have two events for July and August.

Then in September where going to have a director from Hollywood giving a workshop on directing.

Just have to work out a few details before we say who the director is.

You can check out the site at

You can go to the Missouri Ozark Guy thread and see more information...

Who knows this maybe cross posting... so if I'm doing it... I'm sorry...
