I am brand new to this forum and after looking around at the various sub-forums, it looks like they are way above my interest and skill level. Is there any sub-forums that cater to beginners?

Hi Ralph,

welcome aboard.
We've all been beginners, at one point in time.
Don't be afraid to ask:
nobody here will be giving you the cold shoulder...
Anyhow: visit your nearest bookstore, pick up a
"video for dummies" kind of book - and you're good to go.
When more questions arise, come back to the forum,
make use of the search functions,
and be assured that there's plenty of knowledgeable
(and patient!) people around here.
