Just moved to Cairo, Egypt
 

Good evening (or morning - depending on where you're reading this from). I just moved to Cairo, Egypt from Washington, DC, and have been lurking here on the boards for the better part of two years. Thought it was time to start posting - now that I have some idea of what you all have been talking about. ;)

I come from a still pj background, but have been shooting video for VA News for the past three years.

When my wife took a job with USAID and had to relocate here to Egypt, I naturally followed. Figured my skills as a visual journalist would allow me to work where ever we ended up... two months and counting!

I am new to PAL land, and will be searching through the forums for past posts, but ask your patience as I may inadvertently ask a question that has been asked before.

Started off editing on Avid's, but my old employer migrated to FCP two years ago, and we haven't looked back. I shoot with Sony's EX cameras, and just purchased my first video camera - the 350.
