Long time lurking member, saying hi
 

Hi all, I signed up with DVINFO way back in 2005/06 when I first started dabbling with production. I wanted to make a decent splash so I gathered as much funds as I could and got a sony VX2000 with a beachtek xlr adaptor, got a mate with a GL2 (remember those? ) and we headed out to India to shoot a food/travel show pilot. With our very limited knowledge and experience, we produced something worthy of showing the networks and got some bites here and there, but nothing that would get the show commissioned. Needless to say, I learned a lot from that experience and then seriously thought of it as a career.

Fast forward 7-8 years later, now I run a steadily growing production company (SD | MEDIA - SASHI DE MEDIA - Television Production | Lifestyle | Adventure | Travel) and we produce original content for the global market. Our shows are now airing on all the major networks, Discovery, NGC, History and I wanted to share some of our work with you:




Throughout all these years, Dvinfo has been a big part of my skill-building and knowledge set and I constantly peruse the forums for staying up to date on various matters. Hope this post inspires people to stay with their craft - and with a little luck, and a whole lotta sweat, it IS possible to make it in this game!
