Michael Rapadas - New young filmmaker

Hey everyone! I just got into the scene and I'm just practicing for now, shooting short videos. (music videos, commercial, short comedy) I just wanted to introduce myself and put my name out there for everyone to know about it. I need comments, critique, anything to help my skill. I act as director, camera operator, writer, editor, even actor. (No i dont just shoot myself..hahah) please check out my website for more info.

fun stuff, keep it up. Your footage looks a smidge over-exposed on the bouncy ball short, you may want to lower the exposure in camera slightly. I see you're shooting HD now and the exposure looks much better in that short.

Michael or any young filmmakers out there,
I produce their TV show which airs on TV20 (formerly the WB). We do a lot of documentary style segments on the TV show. If you want to document stories of young people you know and submit it to us, we might air it. Check out youthoutlook.org and click the YO! TV link to see what types of story we're looking for.

Also look into current.tv, they're a good resource too.

good luck,
min

Colin,
We have in the past but we haven't done as much of that lately because of funds. Mainly we have a few staff and working with other organizations to produce stories. If you have a really good story in mind, email me and I'll talk to my superviser to see what we can work out. I don't really deal with the budget so all I can offer is opportunity to put it on the air.
