New from Nashville

Just wanted to say Hi,
I run an investigation company in Nashville TN,that primarily focuses(no pun) on technical support for investigations.
We provide surveillance, mobile and stationary, and equipment as well as other intricate services for our corporate clients, and colleagues.
I decided we make a move towards providing premium video as needed, hence our decision to utilize XL1S's.
We have tons of field experience with covert installs, and lower grade cam corders so any help getting a good XL package together would be extremely appreciated.
Our scenarios are never the same, but we have had an increased desire for long range capabilities, without sacrificing quality.
Thanks

Welcome aboard Mitch! You seem to be in an interesting line
of work. I was thinking why you are choosing the XL1s over the
new GL2. The GL2 is very light weight, has the same quality,
longer zoom and much smaller. Sounds much more ideal for your
line of work. The only thing that it misses is the more modular
approach of the XL1 (you can change lenses and such).

Other than that try posting this question in a more approriate
forum (like the general XL1 forum) or the Open DV Discussion
forum.

Thank you!

XL1 vs GL

thanks,
Lens interchangeability has been a priority, hence the decision to go for the XL1.My clients are happier than ever with the quality of the video we've been shooting, and feel that they're getting good bang for their buck.......

Mitch,

Could you perhaps help this person out with some of his questions?
