I was in at Panavisions Burnaby office back in March and they were in prep for SGA. Looked like they were running two Pana-vised F900's.
SGA is now wrapped for the season so you probably could get a hold of the DP's (Jim Menard & Michael Blundell) and ask them any specifics you may have and actually get a response.

Cheers,
Alex

Often they shoot in 60i for high motion action to be post processed back to 24p.

I may be wrong here, but I believe SG-1 was probably 35mm and Atlantis is definitely shot on video (the extremely blurry 360 degree-shutter-type shots giving that one away).

There is a chance that SG-1 moved to Video later in its run (as did Star Trek Enterprise) but up until a few years back I'm sure 35mm was the norm for most TV in the US - even sitcoms.

Anyone from the US TV sphere know better?

For the majority of SG-1's first few seasons, it was 35mm film. Heck, Entourage still uses film while Flight of the Conchords is using I think HDCAM combined with a DVX or HVX in the first few episodes. Now all Stargate productions are HDCAM SR stuff. Only Sanctuary (The TV version) uses RED ONE to acquire now.
