HDR-HC7 survives fireball...

And still rolls...

From "Mythbusters".

And in a previous episode, it can film in a unpressurized (airless) environment even without protective boxes.

The only weak spot I know of in the camera is it's mode switch. Crack it's back casing and you can never turn it on again without a repair.
