How are Golf Tournaments Shot?

I was wondering how in the world golf tournament cameramen do to accurately follow the little golf ball against a bright sky when the golf player wacks it...

Anyone knows?

Black and white monitor and some focus assist such as peaking that make things stand out I would assume. Kind of interested to know my self.

One trick is they reverse the viewfinders so that the golf ball is black which makes it show up better. The other thing is that they're just really incredibly skilled.

Part of it is that they are more or less straight down line from the ball's trajectory. Since professional golfers are much more consistent with their shots, it makes it a little easier to learn the normal ball flight. For example, the optimal ball flight coming off the face of the driver is around 12 to 13 degrees with 3500 rpm backspin. I've watched them from the gallery and noted the camera movements.

It all seems logical. Thanks for the opinions.
