Respite for fans of Ozu, Tarkovsky, Bresson, etc.

For those of you who are looking for something different, there is a forum that regularly entertains discussions of the more obscure, nuanced elements of filmmaking, of the digital type: Cinema Electronica

In order to preserve our online community, we normally don't allow links to other message boards. However, this plug for Cinema Electronica is fine. Their board is not competing with ours in terms of subject matter, and they're open to many sorts of discussions we don't allow here such as religion and politics. So I think it can be safely said that CE is a nice complement to DV Info.

We probably need to re-iterate our policy regarding message board links and put it into the FAQ, but basically, specialized boards such as Charles King's Homebuilt Stabilizers and the one mentioned above, Cinema Electronica, aren't trying to compete with us in terms of subject matter, so they're okay for now. Thanks,

Chris,

I'm sorry I hadn't read the FAQ (shocking, I know). I didn't intend any offense, and so I thank you for merely moving this thread instead of deleting it.

Wow, thank you for posting this link. I only glanced at the titles of their forums and it all looks terribly fascintating.
I cruise about five different DV forum websites on a regular basis. Anyone worth their salt is reading more than one newspaper.
Thanks,
Shawn
