PlayStation Portable
Was just looking at some info on this device which will supposedly be available in the US next spring. It is (to my eyes) very attractive with its 16:9 screen and black case: http://www.digitalbackspin.com/adm/a...42-PSPFACE.jpg
According to a press release on Sony's website, that screen is 480x272 pixels with 16.7 million colors. They plan to release various media for it, presumably even movies and will use another new 1.8 GB mini-disk format that features "robust copy protection". Looks like it would be a nice little portable 16:9 monitor, but it isn't clear whether it could be used this way. It has USB 2 and w-fi connectivity. |
