just a quick question...

i know this is a dv community, however i really need to ask this little question.

Does anybody know how much it is to rental a panavision 16mm camera? or any other good 16mm cameras?

Also is there any website that provides online pricing for production equipments? such as dolly, crane, and etc.

it's a student project that i am gathering the information for. any approximate figure will work, thank you very much

A good Arri SR3 camera body alone is listed for $450/day. But no one pays list. You can also get it for a week but pay for two or three days. Then there is also the student discount if you qualify.

Then it gets cheaper if you go with an older camera. And cheaper still the more stuff you rent and possibly the longer you rent it all for.

Where you are there are a bazillion places to rent from. Call Abel Cine. They have Arri and Aaton. Then there's Oppenheimer and many, many others.

Prices here range from $400-$1000 a day depending on what accessories/glass you want with it. Might be worth it to just buy a used older camera in good shape and re-sell it when you are done.
As Rob says, the longer you rent it for the cheaper.
