How big of a pipe do I need?
 

Simple question, how big of an internet pipe will I need to broadcast video (decent quality). This will be accompanied by live audio as well. The video won't be very static, in fact there will be lots of motion, so Im not sure what bit rate will be required. Probably over 300 for sure.

How fast would I have to upload to achieve this?

Depends on your codecs, or whatever you are using to compress the video. Do you want to upload or have people download?

The new h.264 codec looks great and doesn't put any strain ojn a decent dsl speed connection. Go out to apple.com and check it out.

Hehehe, I knew it sounded weird.

This is going to be be uploaded to a stream server, and people will connect to that. I don't wanna go with Apple, since not everyone has quick time. I wanna stick with WMP.
