Propaganda films?

Hey all,

So, I've taken on the responsibility of creating a small # of videos to compliment their latest release.

The "back story" of the band is that they are a group of communist rockers touring in the states illegally... as such, instead of creating traditional music videos, we thought that doing a couple of propaganda shorts would be a more... fitting thing to do.

problem with that is... well... I've never seen any except the anti-nazi ww2 stuff I used to have to watch in history classes in school...

So, I'm wondering if anyone out there has any insight as to some shorts I could watch online or any txt which I could peruse in order to gather ideas as to the kind of shots / topics / action I should focus on...

Thanks for your time.

Have a look at archive.org. The Prelinger Archives have a lot of films from the 40's and 50's: http://www.archive.org/details/prelinger

There's lots of other stuff there to explore also: http://www.archive.org/details/movies
