Mitsubishi Pajero commercial in Australia

Hi Guys

Just wondering if any folk in Australia has seen the new Mitsubishi Pajero commercial with Big Audio Dynamite's "Rush" track playing to it???????

It's awesome!! I don't know how they've done it but it looks like they've done some motion tracking to keep parts of the frame dead still in relation to the camera. Looks like the camera is somehow connected to the car even though there is a big distance between the camera and the car???? Any thoughts, knowledge???

Thanks
Tim

Mitsubishi Commercial

I have seen the commercial many times and It is truly an amazing piece of work. I have tried to look closely at the car and have noticed that maybe a camera can be mounted of the front drivers side.Dont quote me on this.. I have worked with lipstick cams before and have strived for similar shots... I have gotten close, but Mitsubishi have outdone me.

I would be interested in what others have to say about it!

Perhaps the car was shot on bluescreen.. or done in CGI?
(i haven't seen the commercial).. I have seen some renderings
and animations of cars in CGI and I could not tell the difference.
There is one inparticular that stands out. I think it was in a promo
movie for Lightwave 3D. I could not tell the car was not real.

Go to BMWFILMS.com

They have a section about making of the films for season 1 and it shows some very elaborate and long booms that they attached to the cars (the M5 in "star") and took them out via CG in post.

Is this the look you were talking about?
