Not only could I do better foley than that I'm pretty sure I could beat up Black Belt Jones too.

Simon Wyndham August 22nd, 2006 03:54 PM

Naah. Black Belt Jones would Ooooooy your ass! ;-)

Joe Carney August 22nd, 2006 08:41 PM

Liesure suit Jimmy. Man that was awful.
Though I remember when I was 17 I probably thought it was cool. That whole Bruce Lee effect thing going on at the time.

Douglas R. Bruce August 26th, 2006 06:52 PM

As Joe said, "Man that was awfull"

As to the sound effects - since when did a punch to the groin sound like a whipcrack?? Not that I have ever experienced one, but I imagine apart from the pain there would be little or no sound from the contact.

I like how he hides behind the car and the guy doesn't see his fro sticking up.

Just about every 70s era Kung Fu flick used those same sound effects for fight sequences.

Shaughan Flynn August 29th, 2006 08:59 PM

The sound effects are what MAKES this the best movie intro EVAR! That and the fact that he drives a Jensen Interceptor. 351 Cleveland and 1 horn for town and another for country.

Dimitri De Keukelaere August 30th, 2006 06:46 AM

Michael Kahn

Oh my god, Michael kahn was the editor of this movie. Well everybody has a dark past :p

Walter S. Chelliah September 5th, 2006 12:42 AM

Right on, Simon!

No doubt, this also contains the best score for a movie intro ever in history.

Dennis Coffey was the Hans Zimmer of the 70's. I'd kill to get my hands on that soundtrack.
