Canon HV20 = $1,750.

The article even says that HDV is still hard to playback on current machines.
I guess he never tried using Windows Media player 11 or DIVX to play HDV files.

That's what I've been quoted in Canada.

Cheaper to order online from the States... our dollar is not that bad.

Once you convert the money I was expecting the price of the HV20 to be a bit high in Canadian dollars but I didn’t think that actual price would go that high.

$1095.00 USD = $1274.00 CDN @ today's $ rate.

Not even close...
Makes me want to buy online. I'll be looking into the DVi sponsors...

That’s what I meant. Meaning I knew it would be higher but I didn’t know it would sell for that much higher. I know that in Europe the prices for camcorders are insane even before all those taxes.

Sorry, I was just agreeing with you. The price in Canada is crazy in comparison.
