Photosynth demo from TED (video)
Some very cool imaging technology at TED. I can't even imagine the possibilities when it's adapted for video.
Photosynth demo from TED (video). Here's another good one for computer interfaces. Jeff Han: Unveiling the genius of multi-touch interface design |
Wow...this is both breathtaking and a little unsettling.

Similar technology has, at least in experimental form, been applied to video already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PktKqyRXIE
The project's website is http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/p...nhancement.htm for those interested, scroll down for a MOV version of the video and a PDF copy of the paper. Makes some common compositing tasks easier to perform, though some of this is already in the works; Syntheyes, for example, features 3D stabilization, and 2d3 had been working on what I believe was called pixeldust, an object removal application, though I can't seem to find it referenced on their site any longer. Might have been rolled into another product, for all I know. |
