Your favorite legs?

Man-made, not human. Putting together my new tripod system, which seems to be taking forever, I've come down to two possible heads: O'Connor Ultimate DV and the Cartoni Focus. Both of these are 100mm, and I might just go with the legs from the company, but before I do, I'm wondering if anybody has a favorite set of legs they might recommend. I mostly shoot documentary (ENG, EFP) style, so mid-level spreader or spreaderless is necessary. I'm also not looking to spend ridiculous amounts of money as I'd really like to get the O'Connor and it's already too much. Anyway, please chime in w/ your picks. Thanks!

My favorite legs overall are the Miller's I've seen... just for weight and convenience, plus ergonomics.

I bought a set of Gitzo legs for the minimum height, maxium height, and spreader-less design... and I felt like I got a lot of legs for the price.

My only gripe in the Gitzos is the leg locks and the weight. (Which isn't really that much more then some other pods in it's class... but it is measureable.)

All I'm saying is that if you really did blow your budget on that head then you can get a pretty solid pod with a 100mm bowl for a decent price... Of course this may be beneath you if you're in the market for an O'Conner. I don't know if that would look "right" or not? Or if you'd even care one way or the other.

Hey Matt--The Miller legs were the ones I was looking most seriously at. O'Connor has a package with spreaderless legs similar to the Miller's, but they're aluminum instead of carbon fiber. If I got the Miller legs a la carte with the O'Connor head it would cost me a couple hundred more than just getting the O'Connor package, but it might be worth it--those Miller legs are nice. THanks for the input.

Vinten?

Anyone know where I can get a good price on a Vinten Vision 3? I think the head and legs would be perfect for my DVX100...
