I am having problems with the vertical pan with the Libec LS-22:

Hello,

I got the Libec LS-22 tripod. It pans great horizontally but vertically I am having some issues. When I pan vertically the head sometimes catches and switches the balance switch to ON. Or if the balance switch is ON, it snaps for a second.

Maybe I am not understanding the balance switch properly. The manual does not do a good job of explaining it either. How do you use the balance switch. I would like to be able to pan smoothly without the head catching for a second. It only happens in the vertical setting.

Any tips? suggestions?

Thanks,

Simon
