Manfrotto 505 head

Hi, i have a question about this products, maybe someone could help me with some answers..How do you adjust counterweight - do you have to physicly interchange those litle parts?
What does it mean, n°4 balance springs...?

Yes, you change the spring in the head. Mine came with 4 diferent springs for different weight cameras.
No 4 would be one of those springs.
