Tripod/leg system suggestions
 

I would appreciate any advice from anyone with practical experiecne. I recently returned from Africa, Zambia, with my new Sony HD A1. Everything worked well except for my tripod/leg system. I was too focused on saving weight (flying in small planes require weight restrictions) and I made the mistake of taking the wrong tripod/leg system. I am now on the hunt, determined never to make this mistake again. Here are my requirements, and I would appreciate knowledgable replies.
I am looking for a good fluid head with fast quick release and carbon fibre leg system. Things happen fast in Africa and I must be able to remove the camera from the head quickly. My A 1 is light, therefore a large head (extra weght ) is not necessary.
