Vitec, A Whinge!

Of late a couple or three bits have fallen off some of my Manfrotto and Gitzo stuff.

The pan tightening screw on my cheapo MVH500AH head. Expensive to replace and why not, Vitec/Manfrotto, a longer screw which harder to loosen and detach accidentally?

A foot on my not cheapo GitzoGT2540LLVL tripod, which went AWOL. Fair enough, designed to be removable and replaceable with eg "Big Foot" wider feet but still expensive to replace.

Then, a foot off my not cheapo GitzoGT1555T tripod, £7 odd to replace and DEFINITELY NOT designed to be replaceable with alternative feet.
Why in this instance Vitec, are the feet not fixed, other than a chance of selling some spares?
