It's a tripod, it's a monopod...
...It's a walking stick???
Designed primarily for still cameras, but I want to try it with the HVRA1U, since it's under 4 pounds loaded. I wonder if anyone else has seen this? http://www.trek-tech.com/ Ritz Camera carries a licensed version from SunPak. I'm looking at the non-magnetic ball-head design, for obvious reasons, but this strikes me as a cool run and gun stability solution for less than 100.00. - Loren |
Manfrotto has the tripod base for monopods, as well:
http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/pid/2429 I'm awaiting the Naginata blade attachment for fighting off cougars, though. |
I was going to upgrade my Digi 676B Mono to somehting like that, but from all reports the Manfro's legs are too springy for short-term hands-free. The Trek looks like it will hold 5 pounds stable for a minute. Intriguing. I'm gettng one, will rpeort back.
