Any Opinions on Tripod PDS PTR-990
 

Hi,
I'm new to this DV field. I recently saw a tripod being sold on Ebay made by PDS. The model number is PTR-990.
I'll be going to film school, which I threw every single red cent into, so I'm tryig to get the most bang for my buck.
I'll be using a GL 2 on the tripod. Has anyone ever heard of this tripod? What I like about is that it has a built in zoom control.

My questions are:
1) Would this sufficent for a beginner film maker?
2) Would anyone else recommend something different with same functionality for the going price of $129.00?

I'm not familiar with the brand, or the model. However, I have never seen, read or heard of a tripod in that range suitable for quality video work. Save your money and do a search here on inexpensive tripods. The Libec is very popular.
