Tintit (video)

Small birds don't complain, even if there in no more snow in Southern Finland during the winters.

Juha,

I like the video, the sound of the wing flutter was interesting as you normally don't hear it in video's.

You were able to predict very well where they would go, did you place feed out for the birds?

Juha, liked it very well!
You got some great compositions in the piece, I special liked the water mirror. And of course the sound of the wing flutter.

Keep up your good work!

Absolutely delightful video Juha.

And the best example of video editing I have seen and heard. Scene change is so fast and clean and appropriate that by half way I have no resistance to living in the world of tits; action on the vertical, horizontal, diagonal, receding column, reflected and all utterly natural and informal. Amazing. And the baroque music sounds like a cheerful but soothing balm to counterbalance the hectic activity of 6 (?) species.

Hi Juha.
The first video I tried to do, was of small birds on a feeder.
I can't say I did a great job, but you most certainly do show how it can be done. This was a great inspiration to watch and as Per Johan I liked the mirror in the water best. Many species of tits in this video and they are for sure some nice little birds. Very clear and nice colours too.
My favorite is the Blue tit, but in close range comes the Willow tit and the Crested tit.
Maybe I will go to "De tusen sjöers land" one day to do some video :)
Thank you for sharing this video.
All the best
Geir Inge

Juha,

A lovely piece of video, exceptionally put together. I loved the mirror shots and the closeups!!

What microphone did you use??? What were your distances???

Thanks for all commentators for your kind words.

Microphone used is AT4073a, it was very close to action, here are few pictures of the set up.

That white "sausage" is fat and seed mixture sold for feeding birds during the winter. It will attract the birds to the area and a few bits of crushed peanuts will guide tits to the exact spot.

Juha,

Absolutely beautiful. My favorite scenes were on the log in the pond as well as the reflections.

Great work.
