Hi Gilles. Thanks for another very nice clip. This looks like Andean Hillstar (Picaflor de la puna).

Gilles Debord March 13th, 2010 03:46 PM

Dale Guthormsen March 15th, 2010 06:11 PM

gilles,

Nice footage!!

I have looked at this camera for quite some time.

What is the largest frame size you can have and still run slo motion??

I have thought about using it as a pip camera for some of my work.

Ryan Farnes March 16th, 2010 04:39 PM

I am not in the market for this at all, but my goodness. I had no idea this existed. What an amazing camera. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dale

The largest frame size at 300 fps is 512x384 that's the size for my slomo footage on vimeo.
The higest speed is 1200 fps there is a mean speed at 600 fps, but when you increase speed you reduce frame size, 300 fps is good for animals. You can download the user book on Casio.com (EX-F1). There is an intersesting thing, that's the new software, with it you are able to control the camera with a computer and you have a pre trigger function who record 5" before you start registration but only with a computer.

For best frame size and fps the price is not the same, i'm looking for Mikrotron a German cie and Epix inc in Buffalo. Mikrotron have a camera 1280x1024 at 500 fps and 720 fps at 1280x720 with a 2000 ASA color sensor and Epix do a data card with 1GB/sec.

The others are Photron and Vision research.

Best regards

Gilles
