Lion Fish

Went out last night and shot this cool Lion Fish.
Encoded out as FLASH, 1.3mbps...you can even play it full screen.

Nice footage Paul!

Amazing how even in slow motion the strike is so fast there's nothing but a blur.

One moment you see a fish, the next it's gone. :)

Very nice Paul,
you impress me with your underwater footage! Nice details too.
I wonder what shutter speed you used in this footage? I found that increase the shutter to 1/120 or even 1/210 (if you shoot in PAL) will give a better slow motion at least on flying birds, without so much blur. It seems that you should have enough light to reach this settings?

BTW you missed the UWOL2-challenge, remember you was the first runnner up in the first challenge! The theme for the second one - recreation would have suit you well... I think.

Best;

Wow, nice footage Paul! I love Lion Fish (from a fish keepers prospective).
Very nicely done. I love the slowdown to, it looked cool, like Kevin said.

Nice work, to bad we wont be seeing you at the uwol.....

Hi Guys.
Cheers for that.
Yes it does move quick.

Most of the time I'm running on 50 (PAL) shutter speed and it would indeed cut the light to far down at 100 speed or more. I was using twin 24 watt HID's. We will go out again in the next night or two and I wll see if we can find him again with a faster shutter. During the day in sunny conditions I can at times crank it up to 300.

Yes I seem to have missed it this time around, to busy with other jobs. I'll try to get the next one. Good luck everyone else.....
