A1U with Sony spk hcc

I am trying to sort out a camera for shooting surface footage of watersking as well as stand up paddle surfing. No serious waves or diving will be involved. In the past I used a TRV 900 with the orginal Sony Sports pack and it worked great. Light weight, basic controls and enough room for a WA adapter.

I have been looking at the specs for the A1U minus the lense hood and trying to figure out if it will fit in the Sony SPK HCC. I would also like to add on the Century .55 which ads 9.4mm to the equation. The price on a slightly used A1u is $1400.00 with extras

Or I could go with a new HDR-HC7 and the SPK-HC?

The other option is to retro fit a Canon HV10 into my Ikelite housing I used with a Sony pc 5.

ANY insights would be greatly apprciated. I am tired of hearing myself think over the options.
