Slow motion

Hello,

After seeing a slow motion clip by Bob Thompson recently (Pelican) and reading how he did it I thought it would be interesting to see if it would work using my old Sony PC9e as it has a slow play back option, I captured via svideo using the Sony and then applied this technique in AE afterwards to slow it down more.

I think it's worked out quite well. Bee clip you may want to right click and save, 2.3MB

The original clip was shot in 50i with an XL2 (not the Sony)

What a lovely idea, Sonny and good quality images to express it. And that's just the clip as video.
How you did it is another matter ... but it works well.
I'm going to try that out with my GL2 + the technique you recommend a.s.a.p.

Sonny,

Very nice quality on the slomo shot, but I couldn't open the technique page as the link is down

Very nice. I have some dragonfly clips from a couple of days ago I may try to do something similar. Thanks for sharing this. What shutter speed did you use for this?

I checked the link before I posted but it does indeed appear not to be working now! I think I have a copy of the instruction somewhere I will have a look this evening after work.

I just found this, http://dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.ph...te+slow+motion it is pretty much the same.
