Hei Vidar.
Nice film and you have a way of choosing images that moves ones heart.
I would have liked a bit more movement in your film though, but what the h...
You can find a lot of adventure in the silence and as we all know, the ice are magic :)

All the best to you Vidar and thank you for sharing.

Hi Vidar,

Yes, this is a very nice entry. I always enjoy being taken back in time on the path of a myth or legend.

I do agree with others regarding the images you captured, very nice and the music worked well - although I would have gone with something local, given the storyline was about a local "myth".

Well done Vidar, nice entry.

Vidar, what a unique concept. I would have never thought of lighting icicles like that. To see the light dancing inside the ice was beautiful. I will have to try that sometimes when I am in a cold climate. Great job. Bob

Hi Vidar

Enchanting visuals in this piece, I can see why you decided to feature this. The ice looked fantastic in your shots. I think a bit of variation might have helped even more. Pans, reveals, slow zooms and such.

Overall I felt your piece started well but was left a bit open ended, I really wanted some closing to it after you has VO'd us into the piece. The VO could also have been a bit louder. I liked the music and I think it fot although I would have really had something more Nordic I have to say.

Very beautiful piece fella....well done!

Vidar,

This was an incredible journey! I thought the VO was perfect, the feeling was of a story around a fireplace... I personally liked that the camera was not moving on the closeups of the lights - if it had been moving, I would have thought the lights were changing due to camera angle.... This way it appeared to have inner fire dancing... loved it. :) Also, the music seemed fitting to me, I'm quite drawn to Asian culture in general, and that style of music makes me think of peace... works well.

Wow what can I say, beautiful images with some great in camera(ice) effects. I liked the music, it helped bring me there, to the place you were filming.

Another strong entry!

Some really beautiful images here Vidar - and very interesting. (This world of snow and ice is so foreign to me.) I find what you have done quite intriguing. Your images are very sharp and clear.

Vidar, what a beautiful piece!
I loved every bit of it. Like others have said, some more movement would have added to it, but that certainly didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying it. I really liked the music & thought it fit the shots but not the theme. Great job to put it together yourself.

I liked this more and more towards the end, but the beginning I found rather jarring. Some of the early transitions were a little too sharp, and in contrast to both the voice-over and the music. But the general idea, and the dancing lights, were very well executed.
