Re: We're Not The Only Ones Getting Less Submissions

Just a little input to the debate.
I think we should take care of our "little" worldwide forum.
I enclose a map of Norway showing decline in wilderness areas from 1900 to 2013.
The dark green areas on the map are wilderness. A dramatic decline, donít you think?
I wonder: Is it only in my country this downsizing of wilderness is happening?
No matter how you twist and turn things.
From the attached map of my country, I am no longer in doubt dear fellow players of Uwol.
The world needs us and our little stories.

Re: We're Not The Only Ones Getting Less Submissions

Back when the challenge started I considered it the best learningscape I ever found relative to wildlife and outdoor wilds videography.
I do a number of very difficult things in my life, and of them all, filming wildlife, high speed raptor videography in particular to be the most difficult by a landslide.
Learning to put it all together to actually make it into something palatable is what I have learned here.

As kevin said, seeing what the others have done is hugely inspiring and helped me move forward.

Unfortuanately for myself and others no doubt life just plain got in the way, hence I missed the last three years.

After having been away from it I have found it hard to gain the driving motivation I used to have.

I also understand there or people that feel they can't compete, I feel that almost everytime as there is someone always that does something so amazing I ask myself why I even bother!!

In the end, for me, it is about sharing, caring and learning.

It is truly worth the hundreds of hours dedicated to it.

I hope to participate more once again, and I hope others do to.
