Ps

About next theme: I begged Meryem not to put up an under water challenge, it's too cold in the sea this time of year, but maybe it's just what she intend to to :)
Well, maybe we should go for a wetsuit :) brrrrr....

just to keep the record straight, my boys do not have anything to do with the themes. this permits them to participate on the completely level playing field with everyone else. i'm the only one with the power to torment you all, bahahahaha! get ready! i got plans!

Nah, just put your camera on a long pole and stick it into the fluid. ;)

Around here we'll have to cut holes in the ice to get to the water, but that should change in another month or so.

Then use a 2D tool on the upper clip to cut away the sea, do a timelaps on this clip to speed up the motion. The lower clip remains its original speed, just cut it to the lenght of the upper clip with the timelaps.
When you render this you got the desired effect, where the sea is almost calm but the clouds are speeding through the sky!

Hopefully you understand what I tried to explain?
I may never be able to do this trick Per Johan; I may not even have the software to do it but it sounds very exciting and challenging and I understand perfectly what you are trying to explain. Maybe someday Premiere Pro manuals will be written as clearly & usefully.
