Yeah, Geir, your camera was running and you have included this little accident in your film, right? Or maybe someone else has to help Bruce with his imagination...

I regret I mentioned that sea gull striking my beautiful moon in my back head, just kidding :) The camera was not running and I had to use raincape for it all the time, since above me, where thousands of birds. So it's not on my film, sorry folks. This is just one of those things you have to, think of, laugh a bit, think of, and then laugh again :)

Meryem you have to wake up and give us something to watch... ;-)

ah, the perils of running an international contest. i am just waking up--i got up at 6:30am, not like i am slacking here!! the coffee is still brewing, and the norwegians are chomping at the bit half a world away....

fortunately our web guru in the UK was hard at work while i was fast asleep to bring you your films....

we're truly international!

Having seen larger versions of some of the entries, it ocurred to me that I may be the only one taking advantage of the small frame size to get the best part of the frame into the movie.

I found that shooting in HDV, and bringing HDV into a 320X240 project gives me the opportunity to do in Post what I don't have the talent to do while shooting the video. I get a chance to reframe each shot.

For example, the Antelopes are interesting, but my method would have allowed me to use a small part of the larger frame instead of having to zoom in while shooting. So I would get really tight closeups.

Is anyone else doing this?

Sometimes I'll take 1080 footage and put it on a 720 timeline so I can scale it and movie it around.

It works great for making the moon look bigger. :)
