Compression issues

thought I made this post last week.

Anyway, I accidently shot in normal mode 60 I, Ive always shot wide frame.

I pretty much have a wrap on my challenge, unless something great gets shot in the next ten days.

Kept it to a bit over 3 minutes.

When I compress it I am still getting pixelating.

640 x480

aspect ratio of 1

quality 100

took only 13 megabytes so something is up!!

What can i do? Oh yea using sorenson 3.0

There should be a setting for bitrate. It must be set pretty low to get only 13 MB at 640x480. I think you have to have 320x240 for the challenge.

Gordon,

what would be a usual bit rate??? I will check ehn I get home.

How is windy town??

Do you know a john campbell from pincer creek, believe he does computer work?

I have to use 300 to 350 kbps to get within the file size limit with the version of Sorenson 3 that I have. You could try a short piece of video and see what size of file you get. There shoiuld be a setting for keyframes to that you can play with. Unfortunately I'm still learning this compressing business too and only have the free version of Sorenson.
The windy town is still living up to its reputation. Tried doing a little shooting on the weekend but some of the shots are going to be unusable because of the wind.
No I don't know a john campbell.

Gordon,

my uwol shot in 60 interlaced 4:3 just does not want to compress properly, all kinds of issues, perhaps it is my computer. It is the best one I have produced to date.
I sat down and wrote out another idea and will shoot it with my xl in 16:9 progressive as all the others I have done, just a little more time pressure now.
