Mat
This is a well composed movie with a good story line and tidy narration. The story unfolds little-by little until we finally get the prize. What beautiful images you have captured - and under such difficult light conditions - dim, evening twilight. The soft atmosphere with its subdued hues certainly enhances your ‘ghosts of the friary’ theme. I must say that I find it very difficult to follow a bird in flight especially when it is that close and flying across my path - therefore I appreciate even more the ease with which you have accomplished it. Well done, as usual, Mat. You are a good storyteller - whether using images alone or actual narration. An exceptional movie. |
Mat, a winner. Your narration set the tone for the video. You gave me a real sence of place and told me what I was watching. Besides the beautiful birds, the backdrop of those ancient ruins were great. I think you did a superb job of following the birds in flight, your Camcorder movement was very smooth. A great entry. Bob

Mat. Wow. Not just one owl, but....
You've got more guts than I do, not only speaking but also facing the rig. Thanks for the story and education. Enjoyable, fun, fascinating. |

So fast I had no chance to lift the still camera and shoot but it was awesome. Very well done, Mat. I like every aspect of what you did and how you did it. |
Great film Matt,
Your story of those gosts of the bird world was a ripper! Lovely shots you got of them, & a fantastic VO. Well done. Bryce |
