Re: UWOL "get together" event 2016?

What does everyone plan? Buying full week's pass, or just "single days"?

I'm in the think-tank. Maybe buy "single days" for the film festival, and then have some days checking out Bristol, filming a little...

Anyone knows which hotels we should look at?

Edit:
We should probably book hotels and flights within the next few months to get the best available prices.
A group booking for hotel could probably give us a discount too.

Thank you Mick for updating us.
If I go to Bristol I will buy daytickets.
My dad and my Mother in law, both old and not so well.
As for now I take one day at a time.
If I go to Bristol (and I'd love to) I will stay 10th oct to 14th oct.

Re: UWOL "get together" event 2016?

I picked up the week passes so I'm covered for any and all days.
The weather horrible? I'll just watch nature films all day.
Even if I miss a day and go film the countryside I figure I won't be out that much money.

I told Trond I have three main goals
Meet as many of the UWOL family as possible
See some great nature and wildlife films
Network and talk to filmmakers how I can be a better filmmaker

My initial plan is to be in Bristol from either the 9th or 10th, until the 14th.
(Of course depending that work permits, but shouldn't be much problem, I think)

Bumping up this one so it won't get lost in space...

Has anyone thought about where to stay in Bristol? Any ideas of which hotels would be a good location in relation to where the wildscreen is?

Re: UWOL "get together" event 2016?

I made a reservation at the Bristol Marriot Royal Hotel which is right across the street from the main venue for WildScreen.
Since I'm coming in the weekend before the festival started I wanted to get something booked just incase the hotels filled up for the festival.
There's a few places that are close to the main venue but this one was rated pretty well and wasn't out of line for price and like I said it's right across the street.
So party at the Railsback suite after we watch some amazing films! 😀😀
