I just uploaded my film, and hope it was successful- the upload appeared to work on my end. I used a trial download of Sony Vegas 7, and this is the first video I have uploaded to the web, so this contest was really a huge learning experience for me. If there are any problems with the upload or format, please let me know.

As I have succeeded in compressing and uploading a 33.8Mb file [BM_BirdlifeOverCreteSm_Prog.mov] of my entry which is now reasonably watchable with Quicktime please delete my original 20Mb file [BM_BirdlifeOverCrete1Mbps_stream.mov] from your list.

Sorry for the trouble and thank you for doing so much to help us learn a bit more.

I'll be editing my own entry all day today and it's snowing like crazy so I'll try to check every hour or so and see if there are any new uploades that I can see in the directory. There are a few slots available that you can direct FTP to make life easier. You can even upload to your own site, send the link and we'll FTP it to the UWOL site for you.

i don't know how kevin got those lists to look so easy...but here's a screen grab from the uploader which will show whose videos are online....i'm doing this, so that kevin can pull his hair out over his entry. since i'm not eligible for judging, i'm going to exercise the coordinator's prerogative of a slightly late entry...
