Samsung or Toshiba HDTV?

I'm looking for a 26" HDTV for my room for TV/DVD/Wii purposes as well as using it for an external monitor for my Macbook Pro and for editing 1080i HD material in Final Cut. I would love to get a 1080p HDTV but since I am a poor college student 720p is the best I can do. I'm debating between the Toshiba 26AV500U (you can google it if you like) or the Samsung LN26A330. I was looking at the Toshiba because it's $550 at Sears and it looks like it has a lot of great features, but the Samsung is only $50 more and I've been happy with a lot of their products. If you one of you can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

Samsung 26" LCD

I have a Samsung 2653H LCD television that I use as my canvas in Final Cut Pro 2. I feed it via HDMI through a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card. It has excellent color and clarity. I am quite happy with it.

I am not sure how it compares with the model you are considering, but it was about $600 new, ordered online from Amazon or someone like that.
