Monitoring my monitor...

What exactly do I need to correctly monitor my work and not have to rely on my computer monitors? I know they aren't entirely accurate and I have a 19' Vizio I'd like to use in place of it.

Is Matrox the way to go? I've heard the mini doesn't do 24p. Is that correct?
I also see the Blackmagic cards that are now selling for $200. What route would you recommend?

I ask because... I'm clueless!

FYI... 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac w/ 6GB RAM..

A lot of people are saying to use the MXO box to calibrate your display. I'm in the same boat. Problem is, the MXO is only designed for Apple Cinema Displays and a couple other monitors.

Interesting... I was under the impression that the MXO works on most any monitor, not just Apple's.

I'll double check that...
