New Dell 24" (U2410) 12 bit LCD $600

100% sRGB, 96% AdobeRGB, controls for saturation, hue, gain and offset; internal 12-bit S-IPS.... for $600

Anyone have input on this LCD? The prior 24" model is on sale for $470. I am looking to use it for Premiere Pro and AE CS4 monitoring and modest CC via a Matrox Mini.

If a DisplayPort video card is hooked up to it, then can its internal 12 bit display work with 10 bit sources?

I would like to hear feedback about this monitor as well. I am in the market for one or two new LCD monitors to replace my Dell 2407 monitors that look flat and dim after three years of use.

I bought it on sale a couple of months ago for $500Can. I love it. Don't have it hooked up to an editing computer yet, so can't say much about colour accuracy, etc, but it's incredibly sharp, lots of options for controlling image. Looks great, angle of view excellent. Especially horizontally.

The stand is very adjustable, card reader works great.

I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Very happy with the purchase so far. This week I'm setting up my new editing computer, so I might have more to say then. At the moment, I've just been using it for general computing and Photoshop.

I also was interested in the Dell u2410 or the HP 2475w, both ISP panels. Research shows both these monitors have some issues with pink/green tinting and the Dell has a dithering issue that can only be resolved if you send your NEW monitor in and exchange it for a REFURB unit. I have yet to pull the trigger on a purchase of either of these monitors. If that isn't a concern for you both of these monitors have received rave reviews. GOOGLE them and you'll see what I mean.

For reference it should be noted that the Dell U2410 is an 8 bit panel
