Kindle fire.. monitor?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a kindle fire as a video monitor? I am using a Canon XHA1s and it sure would be handy for my next shoot. I know there are lots of small on board monitors out there but, I have a Kindle Fire… and I’m to cheap to go buy a new monitor.

Re: Kindle fire.. monitor?

As far as I can tell, tablets/smartphones do not have an input port. Only some have output ports

The Fire has no output port of any kind, well except the headphone/earplug jack. When I got mine I thought of the same thing and that hope was dashed when I looked at it.

Should have been more specific, I meant "only some tablets" (e.g., iPad 2 and newer) have output ports, not "some Kindle Fires"
