Grading Monitor, Decklink & GPU for Mac

Hello,

I run a Mac Pro, with the Adobe line of creative tools including Premiere & After Effects. I'm looking to move over to Resolve for correction and grading, but I believe I seriously need to upgrade my machine!

From having read the Resolve Mac Config guide, I require a GPU for computer monitors, a GPU for image processing and a Decklink card to link up a monitor for grading. Up until now, I've been grading content for the web using computer monitors, but obviously would like to get a dedicated broadcast grade monitor.

I currently only run 1 GPU, an ATI Radeon HD 2600, which runs 2x 21" Monitors. Could this card be kept for this purpose rather than replacing it, if it's "only" going to run these screens?

What would be your suggestions for a GPU for Image processing, a Decklink card for HD-SDI output and output to a Murraypro PPM Meter - as well as a monitor for grading? I've been looking at the Sony PVM LED range of monitors.

Many thanks in advance,

Ollie

Re: Grading Monitor, Decklink & GPU for Mac

Any thoughts guys? Appreciate it's a commonly asked, boring question - however I can't seem to find any 'concrete' advice using the search.

I've got a little further with the GPU. Found a guy on eBay that re-writes GPUs for Macs. There's currently one they're selling which works with Premiere MPE & Davinci Resolve with 2.5GB of memory for approx. £350.00 - which has great reviews.

My main real questions now are; ideas for Monitor & what Decklink card would I need?
