HD CRT monitor for the HD100

Right now I use Sony's top of the line consumer 26" LCD monitor for editing 720/30p or 24p footages. Altrough looks great, but I use to have professional CRT monitor for SD footages in the past.
I have an oportunity to buy a pro monitor now, but I'm not shure 720/30p or 24p footages looks good on CRT monitor or not. I looking for this monitor with comp. input:

http://www.jvc.ca/jvcpro/product-det...del=DT-V1710CG

I tried HD CRT before, but that one was 1080i only. The HD100's footages was horrible on that.

If anybody use HD CRT monitor (JVC, Sony or any other brand) with this camera's footage please give some feedback.

Thanks: Laszlo

Laszlo, this is a GREAT monitor for the HD100.

True HD CRTs, especially of the professional production variety, are absolutely the way to go. I own 2.

The JVC model you link to we had two of on the Texas shootout. It's a superb monitor for the money. Snatch it up

Thanks you very much Nate. I'll buy one with two comp. and one composite in.
One more question Nate. On the B&H website under specification of this monitor they show the component in board, the IF-C01COMG When I navigate to this board, they said this is for standard def. only.
It's true?

As far as I know, the IF-C01COMG is HD component also.

Or put another way, I believe there's only one component card for for that series monitors, and it does HD also.

I am interested in the IF-C01COMG also--for a different JVC monitor that I have. I have also been confused about this card. As you indicate it is listed as a SD card. But then I also see the following specs on other sites:

NTSC/PAL 480i/576i/480p/1080i (60 HZ/24pSF)/720p (IF-C01COMG)

So it seems it would take HD. If you get the monitor/card please report back your experiences with HD. I am going to buy the IF-C01COMG this week but I will just be using it in SD for the time being. I hope that I will be able to feed it HD in the future.
