What monitor should I get for £450/820$

Hi forum,

Looking to get a new monitor for my set-up. Currently I have got a Sony SSM-14N5A which is really a CCTV type monitor but has done me for now.

I am looking at the JVC TM-H150CG which seems ok considering the price (£425). It has blue only and at 14" viewable is fine for my set-up.

I want this for colour correction and general preview from Premiere and AE.

My setup is a Dell Inspiron 510m laptop (with 1.5Gb RAM), a Canon XM1 (used to convert the preview, firewire to S-Video), Premiere 2 and AE7.

Also is it ok to still use s-video in this arrangement? I could by a converter box but obviously this will add to the cost.

Cheers

S-video is fine. You might even want to use RCA/composite to check for chroma crawl.

Sorry to repost but does anyone have any suggestions here?

I really would like advice from people that own monitors and know the good and bad points.
