JVC TM-H150CG Problems
 

When outputing my FCP 5.0.4 sequence through firewire to a Sony FX1 my blacks seem to be getting crushed in the digital > analog conversion. I can crank my brightness all the way up on the JVC monitor and not see any difference between the 3.5 IRE and 7.5 IRE pluge bars. The 11.5 IRE bar is visible. When I hook my VX2100 up the same way (firewire > VX2100 > S-Video Input on JVC) the pluge bars display as expected. I turn the brightness up so that I see a difference between the level of each bar, then bring the brightness back down until the 3.5 and 7.5 bars merge.

Another problem that I have noticed is that my preview from FCP (output through firewire to either the VX2100 or FX1, then into the JVC monitor with S-Video) has the bottom one or two fields flickering. If I play back from a tape from either of the cameras the flickering on the bottom lines isn't there. The lines that pulse at the bottom of the frame when playing back my FCP sequence are not aligned properly with the image above. So for example if I had a line down the screen, the last one or two scan lines would be out of alignment like below

If that makes any sense? Any ideas?
