Marshall vs Laptop
Which would work better for monitoring HD footage in the field?
An on-camera marshal lcd or a 17" powerbook(anti-glare)? Thanks, Daniel |

High rez LCD's are expensive. It also depends on the final destination of your project. If your going to a compressed solution that's only intended for playback on PC's, then a laptop would suffice. Otherwise, you'd need to rent a good quality monitor for broadcast.
Serious magic has DVRack 2, and it does HD, and has a the tools that will allow you to color correct or adjust your laptop monitor to match the HD spec. They have a 10 day trial. However, the trial is fussy and prematurely expired on me. |
