What size monitor?

Just wanted to get some people's thoughts on what they feel is the best size monitor for location shooting before I commit to buying one. Obvioulsy an 8" is easier to lug around while, say, a 20" would likely offer a more detailed view, but I'd like to hear some people's opinions from first-hand experiance.

Thanks a lot,

I like the 14's. Not too big, not too small. 14" is a common pro-monitor size for field use. Hope this helps,

With a 14" is it possible to get a AC/DC powered one? i am not saying it needs to run off batteries, but maybe plug into the car or something?

I doubt all locations have power outlets?

I use an 8 inch Sony, primarily for the size and weight. Size and weight over ride the convenience of the larger screen for me. So, it's a personal preference.
